About mPW3R

👋 I’m Anne Burlinson

I founded mPW3R (“empower”) because I kept seeing the same pattern everywhere I looked: brilliant, capable people breaking themselves against systems that were never designed for humans to thrive in.

I know this pattern intimately—because I’ve lived it.

My journey took me from biology and pre-med in the US (where I thought I’d become a doctor), to community nutrition in Indonesia (studying how culture shapes behavior), to a doctorate in Germany working with the Max Planck Institute on human evolutionary behavior. I pursued graduate studies in psychology at the University of Western Australia—until life had other plans when I gave birth ten weeks early during my final semester.

I’ve worked in academia, managed teams, and navigated the complexities

of organizational life across multiple cultures. Along the way, I kept encountering the same questions: Why do capable people make choices that diminish them? Why do smart organizations create conditions that crush potential? Why does complexity so often trigger our worst instincts instead of our wisest ones?

The answer I kept finding across disciplines, cultures, and contexts:

We’re not broken. We’re just running Stone-Age software in a post-industrial world.

our thinking

Too often, leadership programs and self-help frameworks start from the assumption that people are broken and need fixing. I fundamentally reject that premise.

Humans are good, capable, and deeply resilient. What we lack aren’t better intentions—we lack better tools, language, and frameworks to navigate complexity without defaulting to fear and survival mode.

That’s what mPW3R is about: empowering you to flourish, especially when everything feels overwhelming.

We don’t need more productivity hacks. We need evolutionary upgrades. We need to recognize when our Stone-Age Mindset is running the show—and learn how to consciously choose something wiser.

OUR MISSION

We believe the next chapter of human evolution isn’t technological—it’s humanological: a deliberate rewiring of how we work, lead, learn, and live.

mPW3R exists to catalyze that evolution by empowering humans to navigate complexity with wisdom instead of survival instinct.
